Rosanne Cash
Recipient of the
CeasefireNJ Lifetime Achievement Award
Rosanne
Cash
is a Grammy winning singer and songwriter. As the
daughter of Johnny Cash and stepdaughter of June Carter Cash,
Rosanne Cash is heir to an extraordinarily rich musical lineage.
Continuing in the family tradition, her eleven albums, released
over the last twenty years, have charted eleven number-one
singles, and her new album, Black Cadillac, has received
outstanding critical acclaim. She is also a published author
with works appearing in The New York Times, Rolling Stone, New
York Magazine, and others. Cash is an outspoken advocate across
the United States for sensible solutions to reduce the
devastation of gun violence and has been instrumental in
attracting public awareness to gun safety campaigns. Cash serves
on the Board of Trustees of PAX, one of the largest non-profits
that works to prevent gun violence, and was active in the
Million Mom March in which more than 1,000,000 people
demonstrated in Washington and around the country calling for
new legislation to protect Americans from gun violence.
