Public funding of
political campaigns is the only way to ensure that politicians, who respond
to whoever funds their campaigns, work for the public good.
It used to be that politicians had to represent their electorate in order to
get votes. But television changed all that, and elections today are driven
by advertising purchased by those who are willing and able to pay -- and
they always have an agenda. Let's make sure that the agenda belongs to the
American public.
